Chair Massage

Julie Romanyshyn

About Julie..

I consider myself to be a life learner of holistic treatments and of the human body. As a child I displayed caring and nurturing tendencies; and thought, “perhaps that I should become a nurse when I grow up”. My mother, an accomplished RN, knew better. She knew of my dislike of the sight of blood. She also intuitively knew that I would eventually find my way into the holistic healing arts. In addition, we both knew that I should be my own boss.

Another subject that held great appeal was the study of business. My business experience commenced in the form of a home-based business; however, I soon found myself professionally employed and conducting business in some major multi-national companies in London, England. Throughout all these experiences, the appeal of becoming an entrepreneur always beckoned.

My journey began with a short apprenticeship, part-time with a physiotherapist, something I truly enjoyed and gained much insight from. Then the lure of England beckoned and this was to be where my education would take place. From studying and working with the herbs grown in my garden, I learned about and experienced the healing powers of herbs and natural remedies. I also was the unofficial first aid triage nurse for wayward and down-trodden field mice, dogs, cats, birds and the occasional visiting hedgehog in St. Albans, U.K. All these experiences proved to be an asset for my abilities to later on care for my now human clientele.
